Introduction: When Passion Conquered the Storm, We Dived into the Blue of Kenting

On April 13, 2025, Kenting in Southern Taiwan greeted us with an unexpected storm. But the weather challenge did nothing to shake the resolve of [Xinhai Dive Center]'s inaugural "With the Sea, for Life" charity event, nor could it dampen the fiery enthusiasm in every participant's heart! On this day, we didn't just host a "Free Snorkeling x Charity Beach Cleanup"; we collectively wrote a real story about loving the ocean, protecting the environment, and the warmth of connection.

This article will take you back to the scene to experience the touching moments captured by the camera and those beyond the lens. We extend our heartfelt thanks to every environmental hero who braved the storm, the professional and dedicated coaching team, the hardworking staff, and Octopus Ma for the heartwarming refreshments! Because of all of you, this event was both a resounding success and deeply meaningful.

"With the Sea, for Life": More Than Just an Event, It's a Commitment

Before sharing more highlights, let's return to our original purpose. Xinhai Dive Center initiated the "With the Sea, for Life" series of sustainable actions, aiming to align with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and give back to our beloved ocean through tangible efforts. We believe that combining enjoyable experiences (like free snorkeling) with meaningful contributions (like charity beach cleanups) can encourage more people to connect with and understand the ocean, inspiring them to become its protectors voluntarily. This is also an extension of our "Dive into Your Heart" brand mission—caring for the environment is like caring for our own inner peace and aspirations.

 A Safe Start: Answering the Call of the Blue Under Professional Guidance

Early on the event day, participants arrived sequentially at Xinhai Dive Center. The air buzzed with anticipation mixed with a slight tension owing to the weather. However, the warm smiles and thorough pre-briefing by Xinhai's professional coaching team quickly calmed everyone's nerves. From proper equipment fitting and snorkeling safety rules to eco-friendly reminders (Remember reef-safe sunscreen!), every detail showcased Xinhai's dedication to "safety" and "professionalism." Watching everyone listen intently and gear up diligently, we knew a safe and exciting ocean adventure was imminent.

 Diving into the Blue: An Intimate Encounter with Kenting's Ocean

"Splash!" Leaping into the water felt like entering another world. Although the sea surface might not have been perfectly calm, underwater Kenting still showcased its charm. Through our masks, colorful coral reefs, leisurely swimming tropical fish, sea cucumbers, sea urchins... all sorts of marine creatures painted a vibrant scene. Guided by the instructors, everyone floated relaxedly, observing and feeling the therapeutic power of the ocean's gentle embrace. For many participants trying snorkeling for the first time, the expression on their faces—a 'mezcla' of novelty, excitement, and a touch of awe—was the most direct response to this ocean.

 Bending Down for the Sea: The Most Beautiful Eco-Friendly Figures on the Beach

After the joy of snorkeling, the real challenge and contribution began. Back on the shore, everyone quickly donned gloves, grabbed tongs and trash bags, transforming into eco-warriors on the beach. PET bottles, plastic fragments, discarded fishing nets, cigarette butts, straws... various types of marine debris had nowhere to hide during the group's meticulous sweep. Along the way, there were touching moments of families working side-by-side, sounds of partners encouraging one another, and exclamations (followed by reflection) upon finding unusual pieces of trash. Though clothes were damp with sweat, seeing the collected bags—our "trophies"—and the visibly cleaner sand brought a look of deep satisfaction to everyone's face.

 Because of You: The Warmest Sight is Camaraderie

The warmth of an event often stems from human connection. During rest times, everyone sat together, sharing discoveries and thoughts. The snacks prepared by Octopus Ma didn't just satisfy hunger, they warmed hearts. The tentative conversations among new acquaintances, the seamless collaboration of familiar faces, the casual interactions between instructors and participants... these sincere smiles and moments of sharing formed the event's most moving landscape. It was more than just a public service activity; it was a heart-to-heart connection, solidifying a collective love for this land and ocean.

The inaugural "With the Sea, for Life" event on April 13th concluded successfully with everyone's enthusiastic participation.
